04/20/20 THE MEETING OF THE MINDLESS

It is absurd to say folks were not concerned about other flu epidemics.
Also absurd to deny C-19 is a killer.

I realize the flu danger every year. I know people die from the flu. I also know that this COVID19 is a killer and it is different in various ways from other types of flu. It should be a cause for concern. I don't tell other folks how or even whether they should be concerned, or get a shot or wear a mask. Do what you choose, but it is not loving to demean other folks who take health precautions, for themselves, their children, their parents or other loved ones.

Christians need to make sure they are not allowing either side of this debate to become their revealed word from God. This debate should never have created haughtiness and division in the body of Christ.

I have a right to be mistaken and you have a right to be mistaken, but we do not have a right to jeopardize our relationships with other believers because of this terrible event. If you don't think it is terrible, that is your choice, but those of us who do see this as a health threat should not be scorned or ridiculed for taking steps to help ourselves and others.

Actually, this is a post and comment that should not have to be made. LOVE would prevent hurtful words and actions. LOVE would cause us to humble ourselves and make ourselves servants to those, with whom we disagree, rather than laugh at them for being silly or mock them for being gullible.

LOVE always has been and is and will continue to be the panacea for relational breakdowns. But LOVE requires humility, mercy, kindness.
