"I DIE DAILY," is a Biblical statement that Paul made in reference to the possibility that he could physically die at any time because of his faith and commitment to Jesus Christ. The entire 15th chapter of 1 Corinthians addresses the subject of bodily resurrection. Paul was saying that he faced the possibility of being killed for his faith daily, but he was assured that he would be raised from the dead.

1 Corinthians 15:30-32
30 And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?
31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
32 If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.

"I DIE DAILY," has nothing to do with "dying to sin daily." In fact, I don't know of any passage that says we, "die to sin daily."
We are tempted daily.
We must resist sin daily, hourly and whenever we are tempted.
We must deny ourselves daily.
We must take up our cross (our association with and our alignment with Christ) daily.

BUT WE SHOULD ONLY DIE TO SIN ONCE. The Scripture does not say that we are DYING to sin daily. The Scripture does say that the believer should be DEAD TO SIN. Just as faith in Christ leads to and results in regeneration, so faith in Christ leads to and results in being crucified with Christ. Both, being born of the Spirit and being crucified with Christ are essential to the victorious Christian life. Regeneration is a continuing reality, while crucifixion is not an ongoing condition however, the results of crucifixion continue for those who walk in the light.

Romans 6:1-5
1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:'Romans 6:6-10

(DLG note...) As in other passages, crucified relates to being DEAD, it does not relate to dying as an ongoing process.
We are tempted daily and we must resist daily, but we do not die to sin daily.
We live in victory, holiness, righteousness daily, as we walk in the light, as we walk in the Spirit, as we walk in Christ footsteps daily, but we do not die to sin daily.
We obey, follow, trust Christ daily, but we do not die to sin daily. We resist temptation, we resist the devil, we turn from sin daily, but we do not die to sin daily.

Salvation includes New Birth of the Spirit and it includes Death to self, sin, Satan and Satan's system., but we should die to sin once and then walk in newness of life. The Christian life is not THE CRUCIFIED LIFE, since those two concepts are actually contradictory. Our Old Man, self, Carnal Mind, sinful nature needs to be crucified with Christ, but crucifixion means death, not life on the cross. The idea of the crucified life is not New Testament living. Christians LIVE the Christian Life. We LIVE the Resurrection Life.

Galatians 5:22-26
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

(DLG note...) The underlying implication of DYING TO SIN DAILY is that Christians never come to the point of BEING DEAD TO SIN in this life and therefore DELIVERED FROM SIN in this present evil world. If you are not dead to sin then you have to struggle with inward rebellion, and inner pollution, which is not the salvation that God provides.

Our Old Man is crucified with Christ and we were crucified with Christ, but just as Jesus is no longer crucified, neither are believers continuously crucified.

Hebrews 7:26-27
26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.

(DLG note...) Though I am crucified (dead) with Christ, nevertheless I live, I am alive. It is no longer my self oriented life, but my Christ oriented life.
It is the life of Christ that lives in me and it is the life of Christ that gives me life.
The good news is salvation gives us life, newness of life, eternal life, everlasting life, fullness of life, abundant life.

"I KEEP UNDER," is a Biblical statement that applies to Christians keeping THEIR BODIES, NOT THEIR SINFUL NATURE, under control.
WE CAN BRING THE BODY UNDER CONTROL 

1 Corinthians 9:24-27
24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

WE CANNOT BRING THE SINFUL NATURE UNDER CONTROL

Romans 8:6-9
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

* CONTROLLING THE BODY
A Christian controls whether or not he will physically commit sin. Christians do not control the sinful nature (the inner bent to sin, the mind of the flesh), because the sinful nature cannot be controlled, either by man or by the law of God.

Romans 6:12-22
12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

* CONTROLLING THE MIND
A Christian controls whether or not he will mentally commit sin.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

* SOLUTION TO THE SINNING PROBLEM
REGENERATION CONQUERS SINNING,
Christians, being Spirit regenerated, led and empowered followers of Christ are given the grace to overcome temptation and sinful behavior. He that is born of God does not commit sin.

7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

* SOLUTION TO THE SIN PROBLEM
CRUCIFIXION CONQUERS SIN NATURE
* The solution to the Sinful Nature is crucifixion of The Old Man (also called the Carnal Mind or Double Mind). Our "Old Man" must be crucified with Christ. The Bible teaches that we must be dead to sin, self and Satan.

VICTORY OVER ALL SIN
New Birth (being born of the Spirit), which results in walking in newness of life and walking in the light as Christ is in the light is the key to resisting sin. VICTORY OVER SINFUL ACTION.
Total faith, surrender to the Holy Spirit is the key to being delivered from the tyranny of the sinful nature. VICTORY OVER SINFUL PROPENSITY.

While in MCJHS (early 60s) I was taught we must affect world equality by lowering USA standard of living.

WICKED COMMIES.

Some points to consider...
* I was not politically oriented and did not come from a politically oriented family, yet I was deeply disturbed that anyone would think about robbing our country in order to advance another country. I wanted to see the peoples of the world advance, but not at the expense of USA accomplishment.

* This came along with the touting of Psychology, Secular Humanism, Materialism, Naturalism, "Science" (so-called), Liberalism.
* The fresh batch of "educators" (change agents) coming out of Left leaning universities was the movement that ushered in today's Socialist agenda.

I remember the feelings I had to those attacks on my view of freedom. I would have been in my very early teenage years and could not imagine any American ever siding with such oppressive ideas. It would not be long before the streets would erupt with violence and anti American propaganda. It has continued to foment until a great number of my classmates from those days are now anti-Biblical, anti-Church, anti-American. Liberalism has taken over Education, Religion, Politics.

When people say, "God is still in charge, there is nothing to worry about," that is true for the Christian, but it is not true for your lost loved ones, your lost friends, your lost community, the lost world.

Yes God is in charge and He is going to send judgment on those who are held captive by their own sins. They are going to suffer the worlds outpouring of evil, they are going to be blinded by Satan, they are going to believe a lie and be separated from God forever.Don't be so cavalier, so shallow, so insensitive, so blind to the rest of the truth. The Bible says that all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose. Remember, the GOOD NEWS is not good news to the eternally lost person.
God's response to a lost, shackled, tortured, blind world was not to sit back and nonchalantly shrug it off. God the Father so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son; Jesus so love the world that He came to seek and to save the lost; the Holy Spirit loved so much that He came to convict and convince the lost that they needed to call on, trust in and follow Jesus.

Yes, God is in charge, but it is not a call to sit back and take it easy. It is a call to go, sacrifice, stand, suffer and call the lost to repentance, warning them that God's judgment will come after this life.

I am comforted by the reality that God is in charge, but I am not lulled to sleep or dead to the reality that things are bad, things are going to get worse and the world is lost.

Years ago laws, against homosexuality, which was considered deviant behavior, were primarily applied to child abusers, rapist, public indecency and incest. It was not used against all homosexuals. The only time I ever saw or heard of homosexuals facing legal charges, was because they had molested or raped a child or because they had performed a sexual act in public.

The laws were changed, and the only violence against homosexuals came from violent people. Christians and other decent law abiding citizens did not approve of homosexuality, but they did not take social or legal action to oppress them.

As the changes in society took place, the homosexual society has boldly forced their aberrant lifestyle and belief system on the general public and now they seek out Christians in order to criminalize us for living by the word of God. They now want to take us to court, put us in jail, take away our ability to make a living, to raise our children and to force their immoral views on all of society, beginning with children and youth in the Public School system.

The appetite of sin is never satisfied.

1- The miracle of salvation is not so much that God loves us, which is marvelous beyond comprehension, but that salvation (not simply forgiveness), transforms us from twisted and broken sinners to holy and whole followers of Christ by supernaturally conforming us to image of Jesus. 

2- Salvation from sin and selfishness to holiness and faithfulness is accomplished by the two instantaneous and Divine works of grace (justification and entire sanctification), and by the walk of grace, which follows our total commitment.

The Bible does not contradict itself, but rather the clearer statements illuminate the more difficult statements. HOWEVER, the Bible does contradict the teachings of men that do not agree with the clear revelation of God.
With this as a basis of understanding the Bible, consider my previous post, THE HOLY SPIRIT IN BELIEVERS, and accept the truth that Christ saves His people from their sins. Christ does not save His people in their sins, with their sins or simply from the penalty of sin, but from their sins.

BTW, do not expect Christ to save you from your sins if you do not trust Him fully and surrender fully to His Lordship. God neither forces anyone to go to heaven or hell. He enables us and requires us to make a reasonable choice.

Electronic ministries are an open door of ministry for local churches now, which may close very soon. Even our little church has enough work to keep a team of people busy, evangelizing and edifying our world (near and far). This could include live as well as video presentations for local and worldwide outreach.

BUT IT WILL TAKE A TEAM OF WORKERS. Some folks are already equipped for more technical work. Others would need to learn basic, relatively simple production skill. Others might become involved in on-camera communication skills.

I believe we are in the Laodician period, but there are still some Open Doors, and they are not all brick and mortar based.

It will be a shame if we miss this opportunity.

I am ready, willing and able to head up this kind of outreach, but I cannot do it alone.

I think that THE NET HOUSE MINISTRY is a good fit for the times, if people dedicate their time and talents to this task.

* No one is allowed, before God, to use the power of the State to oppress the citizenry or persecute Christians.
* If a person claims to believe in Jesus Christ, he or she has no option but to be Biblical along these lines.

* This is not a call for Law Enforcement to force Christianity on anyone.
* It is a call for Christians to obey God rather than men, when the State gives a directive that punishes or infringes on the rights of another Christian.
* In fact, the USA Constitution guarantees the right to freedom of religion.

* A Christian does not have two choices because a Christian does not have two heads.
* Christ is Lord and we must obey Him (God) rather than men (when men or governments demand that we disobey God).
* No one will be excused for persecution or punishment or oppression simply by saying it is their job.

* I can't even imagine an excuse for not sharing this.

Obedience to any law of man, which usurps the rule of and authority of God is an unlawful command, directive. Any law which nullifies a New Testament command from God is an act of anarchy. When Law Enforcement is commanded to act against New Testament directives and against those who are following the New Testament, Law Enforcement should refuse to act against God, His word, and God's people.

If one group is calling for open, verifiable, legitimate results and the other group is resisting those results... guess the crook.

And one group is willing to accept the actual results, but they must be proven to be legitimate. The other group lays claim to legitimacy, without investigation or proof.
More than likely, the proof oriented group will not be responsible for burning down the country (as we have seen the emotional, ulterior motivated group do on many other occasions).

Truth is the great divider. Truth sets us free, but some people want bondage and handouts more than freedom.

I have scores (maybe hundreds) of FB articles since 2009 that address illegitimate "government," regardless of Administrations. These articles also include God's revelation for Human Government in the Holy Bible.

I have denounced human policies and actions, which are contrary to God's revelation. All political groups have weaknesses and even corruption. This does not negate God's rule through Human Government.

Some "governments" are more aligned with God's will and others are actually openly opposed to God's plan for Human Government, while some are totally contrary to God's will.

We will not have a perfect Government until King Jesus returns and sets up His kingdom. However, we are all under legitimate authority. God's directive to Christians who are being being ordered to disobey basic Biblical standards by the "government" is to OBEY GOD RATHER THAN MEN. This is the standard I have proclaimed under every Administration for the last 50 years.

While there is corruption in every Administration, some Administrations are corrupt to the core and are the enemy of the people as well as the admitted enemy of God. Christians are told to obey God. We are not told to raise the sword of steel. We are not to become anarchists. Our model for Christian behavior under pagan governments is found in the New Testament.

God is capable of stopping runaway political groups, if He chooses to stop them. God's plan is bigger than a four year Administration or even a thousand year dynasty. God is in control of minutia just as He is the transcendent. Though God is not the author of confusion, He uses darkness and evil for His ultimate purpose.

This is why we should live for Him, for eternity rather than for self, party or the moment. Our war is not with flesh and blood but with spiritual powers. Our weapons are not carnal, but spiritual.

I hope for days of freedom ahead, but if the curtain is about to fall, it is is not a shock to God and it should not be a cause of despair for us.
