WHY WOULDN'T A PERSON CHOOSE THE PATH OF GOD?
God tells us to ponder the path we will take in life, and to stay on that path.
Proverbs 4:26-27
(26) Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.
(27) Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.
Only a fool would choose the path of futility; only a blind man would choose the path of misery; only a madman would choose the path of destruction. In my comment box below I give a list of at least 17 characteristics of the path a Christian takes. I hope you at least glance at it, and maybe meditate on these great truths.
The "On Ramp" to the Path of fulfillment is to receive Christ as your Lord and Savior (Jn:14:6).

Still true.
Like impervious armor, nothing seems to penetrate and destroy PRIDE. Concerning this foolish/wicked person, God said, Therefore pride compasses them about as a chain; violence covers them as a garment (Ps. 73:6). Eventually pride imprisons and destroys the one who is proud. God said, Pride goes before destruction and haughty spirit before a fall (Ps. 16:18); He also said, ...Be Not Proud... (Je. 13:15).
THE WORD...
The word of God is able to separate a man from his sins, including pride. This is why a person needs to accept the searchlight of heaven to uncover the dark secrets of the heart and to purge out the corruptions which destroy the proud.

23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

It is possible for a believer to sin, (your quoted verses refer to unsaved people). It is possible for a believer not to sin (which is what salvation is).
But living in deliberate and constant disobedience and opposition to the revealed and known will of God is total failure. "Christians" in USA accepted the State as lord of their lives; worshiped avarice and materialism; believed Secular Humanism; yielded to atheistic Public Education, Socialism, Hedonism, Evolution; abandoned the Bible, the Christian faith, the local church and the family unit. All this without a shot being fired or a worldwide threat destroying our foundation.
I know my first couple of sentences might not be popular, but they are Biblical. I will be glad to have a video talk with anyone who is interested.

CAST INTO...
Daniel was cast into the lions den because he chose to follow, obey, worship God. It was the enemy's way of persecuting, attacking, penalizing, destroying Daniel.
Those who choose to live godly will be persecuted. God may or may not deliver us from our earthly tormentors, but He never abandons us.
2 Timothy 3:10-17 KJV (see designated verse *)
10 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,
11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.

We should be bold as a lion when faced with danger, but we should not trust in the flesh or carnal weapons. We should stand firm while confronting the devil, but we should not go picking a fight with him. Our response to danger is trust in Christ, not in self.
Faith does not jeer at the enemy.

We are going to be tested and tried in this world. The dangers we face (natural, human or spiritual) are real and many.

#1 Why avoid temptation?
God says, breaking one commandment makes us guilty of breaking them all.
Avoidance limits threat of temptation, thus sin.
God also says there is NO temptation (not one, not any) that we cannot escape.
God enables us to NOT SIN.
I only have to escape one temptation at a time (by God's enabling grace) thereby escaping all sinful activity at that moment.
God does not LEAD US INTO temptation, He LEADS US AWAY from temptation and He DELIVERS US FROM (the) evil (one).
Still, the choice is ours.

(4) ... And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.
1 Corinthians 10:13
(13) There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

(18) And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

If, by His grace, you can live one moment (second, minute) without deliberately disobeying God, you can live ten minutes, one hour, one day, one lifetime without deliberately disobeying God.
In fact, God says that He has given us His word so that we SIN NOT.

It is harder for some folks to believe total, global ruin could come tomorrow, while others would not be shocked. I enjoyed yesterday's world, but today's world is no friend of grace, and has no promise for tomorrow. Foreseeing an apocalyptic end is not lack of faith, but it is heartbreaking. It will get worse before it gets better. Be faithful and be prepared, stay Christ centered. Lift up your head, He is coming.
I wrote this two weeks ago. Don't get tossed about by worldly upheaval.
BIBLICAL SEPARATION
Being separate from the world starts and ends with total surrender to the true God.
For decades I have strenuously taught my people to not set their course, set their standards, set their beliefs according to the declarations of Government, Politicians, Courts, Lawyers, Law Enforcement, News Media, Medical Authorities, Social Norms, Religion (people, traditions, organization), Secularists and Humanists (science, education), BUT RATHER BE TOTALLY COMMITTED TO GOD'S REVELATION.
Now do you see why that was important?
Even when honest people tell us something, they can be mistaken.
Even when a deceiver tries to control us he may tell the truth.
Once I decide to be Biblical, I can avoid being "tossed about by every wind of doctrine" (regardless of its origin).
It is costly to stand with God, against accepted norms.
But it is more costly to follow the world in chaos."

I read Romans 13 as saying that If I am pulled over for speeding I can argue my case but ultimately I am obligated to recognize the officer's delegated authority and pay the fine. Unless there is a case to be made for love, like love of my neighbor in fighting an oppressive regime then I don't have grounds for starting a revolution for minor legal issues.

A really good reason to get upset with Government overreach is that they make us do something we don't like or want to do. NOT!
I have actually seen posts from "Christians" who complain because they DON'T LIKE or because they DON'T WANT to do what they are told to do, (and sometimes it is only what they are being ASKED TO DO). When a person rejects legitimate authority (even if it is in error), or they act in SELFishness rather than love, then they are not being Biblical. Our LIKES and WANTS are not God's revelation. Until "authority" contradicts God's rule, we need to submit to legitimate authority (husband, parents, pastor, legal, governmental). SO SAYS GOD'S WORD.

A really good reason to get upset with Government overreach is that they make us do something we don't like or want to do. NOT!
I have actually seen posts from "Christians" who complain because they DON'T LIKE or because they DON'T WANT to do what they are told to do, (and sometimes it is only what they are being ASKED TO DO). When a person rejects legitimate authority (even if it is in error), or they act in SELFishness rather than love, then they are not being Biblical. Our LIKES and WANTS are not God's revelation. For decades I have strenuously taught my people to not set their course, set their standards, set their beliefs according to the declarations of Government, Politicians, Courts, Lawyers, Law Enforcement, News Media, Medical Authorities, Social Norms, Religion (people, traditions, organization), Secularists and Humanists (science, education), BUT RATHER BE TOTALLY COMMITTED TO GOD'S REVELATION.
Now do you see why that was important?
Even when honest people tell us something, they can be mistaken.
Even when a deceiver tries to control us he may tell the truth.
Once I decide to be Biblical, I can avoid being "tossed about by every wind of doctrine" (regardless of its origin).
It is costly to stand with God, against accepted norms.
But it is more costly to follow the world in chaos.

People in hell can never go to heaven because they chose to always rebel against God and be lord of their own lives.

9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.
11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
