11/14/20 GOD'S SPIRIT, THE BREATH OF LIFE
The Holy Spirit is the Breath of God. Do not allow anything to impair the flow of God's Holy Spirit (Breath) in your life.
Sometimes we cannot avoid physical impairment because our bodies are still mortal. Unless we are caught up in the Rapture, we are all going to die physically.
Breathing is a natural and essential part of living, physically and spiritually. Though we cannot avoid physical impairment, we can and must avoid spiritual impairment.
Spiritual impairment comes because we have sin in our lives. We are to avoid sin by maintaining a right relationship with the Holy Spirit (through faith).
We must not LIE TO, RESIST, QUENCH, GRIEVE, INSULT or BLASPHEME the Holy Spirit.
02/15/20 SINS AGAINST THE HOLY SPIRIT
Sins against the Holy Spirit:
Lie to Him; Resist Him; Quench Him; Grieve Him; Insult Him; Blaspheme Him.
PASSAGES...
LIE TO HIM, IGNORE HIS AUTHORITY
Acts 5:3-4
3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
RESIST HIM, SHUT HIM OUT.
Acts 7:51
(51) Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.
QUENCH HIM, REFUSE TO DO GOOD.
1 Thessalonians 5:19
(19) Quench not the Spirit.
GRIEVE HIM, CHOOSE TO DO EVIL.
Ephesians 4:30
(30) And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
INSULT HIM, TREAT WITH CONTEMPT
Hebrews 10:26-31
26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
BLASPHEME HIM, RANT AGAINST
Matthew 12:31-32
31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
