07/14/20 I AM AN ALARMIST

Because I love you, I AM AN ALARMIST when it comes to folks dying without Jesus and going to hell (Jn. 14:6).

Other (legitimate) alarms are sounding in our society today for disease, economy, education, race wars, culture wars, cold wars, world war, tyranny, insurrection, violence, political intrigue, governmental oppression, collapse of justice and values, persecution of Christians, dissolution of the family, attacks on the Christian faith, moral decay.

THESE ARE ALL REAL ISSUES. They are imminent. They were prophesied in the Holy Bible, as world conditions in the last days. They are destructive events and conditions.

Still, I am not an alarmist about those things, because those things are unalterable in these last days. Knowing about these conditions and events helps us set our course and navigate the treacherous seas of life, but these things will happen because of the rebellious determination of mankind. We can't change the direction of the world, but we can change our destination.

YOU CAN SAVE YOUR SELF FROM THIS UNTOWARD GENERATION by believing (trusting, following, loving, obeying) Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior (Ac. 2:40). There is no question, IF WE LOVE JESUS, WE WILL KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS (Jn. 14:15; 15:10, 14). Keeping God's commandments does not save us, but breaking God's commandments does damn us. Faith in Christ sets us free from sin (Ro. 8:2-6). Obedient faith is the proof of salvation (2 Ti. 2:19).
