10/27/20 "YOURSELF" IS THREE DIMENSIONAL
TAKE CARE OF YOURSELVES, THE BEST YOU CAN, WHILE YOU CAN.
Almost 6 months ago I did a 175# bench. Poor health interrupted my workouts and delayed my goals; but hope to do 185# soon. This will be about 6 months later than I hoped, but I am glad to be moving in the right direction.
During my workout yesterday I did 3 sets of BP: 125# 12 reps, 145# 7 reps, and 170# 2 reps.
I also did 2 sets of 1 arm snatches: 40# 8 reps each arm and 50# 3 reps each arm.
Personal goals...
Next BP goal (early November) is 185#.
Here are two projected goals I have.
200# (+) Bench by my Birthday, March 31 (probable).
75# 1 Arm Snatch by my Birthday, March 31 (a real challenge).
Without sickness or injury, I hope reach these goals.
(would like to eventually repeat my personal best BP of 255 when I weighed only 175#.)
(do not expect to repeat my personal best 1 arm snatch of 125 when I weighed only 125#.)
I try to encourage others, especially younger folks. We can't always help what happens to us physically, but I see so many who are not taking health and fitness seriously.
While my post addresses my weight training, the opening comment is actually a call to spiritual health and fitness as well as physical well being.
We must take steps to improve ourselves, in the best way possible, while it is possible.
We turn around and wonder how we got into the mess we got into.
As I said, we cannot always avoid trouble, but we better be doing what we can to avoid it, while we can.
