03/31/20 ADDING SORROW TO HEARTACHE

03/31/20 ADDING SORROW TO HEARTACHE

Grief is magnified for those who have to bury a loved one without the comfort of friends and loved ones present at this time.

While churches and Christians should be pulling together to rescue the perishing, the devil turns their focus to self and schisms.

In times of stress (personal and social) the devil ensnares folks with silly conflicts. Christians fall victim and lose treasures.

This is the Miss-Information Generation. Don't be weak women, or corrupt men, reprobate concerning the faith.

READ AND HEED

This is a great passage concerning THE LAST DAYS, which looks a lot like today's society.

We have been in The Last Days since the New Testament was written, but the corruption of those "days" is intensifying as they are coming to a close. These corruptions are becoming more common at this present time, as Jesus said, "as in the days of" Noah and in the days of Lot.

2 Timothy 3:1-9 KJV
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.

03/29/20 FIRST SUNDAY ZOOM

TNH Online ZOOM Meeting this morning 3/29/20.

I am still having issues with using the recording and trimming tools for zoom.
I made it available to a select few, until I can get the format I want.

03/29/20 SELECTING OUT

03/29/20 SELECTING OUT

This worldwide COVID-19 problem is not an open, all out, aimed attack on churches or Christians. But it is a culling out time.

03/29/20 WE MUST BE WILLING TO BE WILLING

03/29/20 WE MUST BE WILLING TO BE WILLING

If we are not willing for God to change us and if we are not willing to gladly submit to His rule in our lives, we are not saved.

03/29/20 IT IS MORE THAN A "NEW LEAF"

03/29/20 IT IS MORE THAN A "NEW LEAF"

Living by faith is not simply an attitude adjustment, it is a work of Divine deliverance and dominance.

03/29/20 BLINDED BY DISTRACTION

03/29/20 BLINDED BY DISTRACTION

We cannot see God's path and His glory clearly, as long as we are focusing on our problems.
We choose to be Faithful or Fretful.

03/29/20 BEING CONTENT IS UNKNOWN

03/29/20 BEING CONTENT IS UNKNOWN

Most "Christians" were not content before COVID-19, no shock that they are not content with God's provision and protection now.

I know there are several factors involved in understanding these passages, but they do not change my use of the words, which are translated content or contentment. We are to be satisfied, fulfilled, trusting in the provision and will of God. I could have only referenced the specific verses * (Philippians 4:11; 1 Timothy 6:8; Hebrews 13:5) but the context helps us understand the scope of application.

Philippians 4:10-22
10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.

* 11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
14 Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction.
15 Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.
16 For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.
17 Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.
18 But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.
19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
20 Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
21 Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you.
22 All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar's household.

1 Timothy 6:6-10
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

* 8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Hebrews 13:5-8
* 5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

03/29/20 PATIENCE WINS THE SOUL

03/29/20 PATIENCE WINS THE SOUL

The Lord willing, I plan to address this passage during TNH Ministry ONLINE ZOOM Service (Luke 21:5-19).

When facing these issues, trust God, be patient and win your soul.

Luke 21:5-19
5 And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said,
6 As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
7 And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?
8 And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.
9 But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.
10 Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
12 But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.
13 And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:
15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
16 And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.
17 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.
18 But there shall not an hair of your head perish.
19 In your patience possess ye your souls.
