03/28/20 MEETING GOD WHERE HE IS, NOT WHERE WE WANT HIM TO BE
Our folks like to "visit" after service even when visiting other churches. Our ZOOM fellowship time was even better than usual.
My point is, if we look at any meeting as a blessing, we will find God and enjoy fellowship. There are millions of Christians around the world who would love to be in our "oppressed" condition.
Yes, hope for and accept the best opportunities when they are available in a free society, but don't complain about the best that God provides in a difficult situation.
Another observation, many of the people who attend "normal" services hardly have enough energy, excitement, commitment to keep them out of a casket. In fact, pastors often complain about the lack of participation and contribution by those in the pews. It could be that folks will actually become more focused and involved in our less traditional services.
If this is not the case with your "church," then be glad, but don't put down the fact that God is using a different model to stir His people to worship and serve.
And here is the kicker. You can long for the leaks and onions if you want to, but God hates murmuring, especially if He is leading His people to the promised land of purity, perfection, love, joy, peace, worship, service.
