04/12/20 INVITATION AND GUIDELINES

04/12/20 INVITATION AND GUIDELINES

If you would like to know about our ONLINE ZOOM MEETINGS.

(not a commitment), send me your Email. (see comment box for more info).

This is NOT INTENDED to take place of your home church. No commitment or interaction is required or expected. I just want you to know you are welcome to be part of our gathering.

Meeting together for ONLINE SERVICE is new and different. Therefore I shared these thoughts with our people, since our online ministry can actually include audio and/or video of folks at home. It is possible to be part of our ONLINE MEETING without being being see or heard, but if someone wants to be interactive, here are some basic guidelines to interactive, online participation.

Treat your ALTERNATIVE GATHERING with dignity, b/c God is present and others are watching you.

Come to Alternative Gatherings for worship and Bible study with the respect, dignity you owe God. Give your best to this holy gathering because God deserves it and others will either be lifted up or torn down because of your demeanor.

We should treat our ONLINE services (or open air, drive in services) with the same decorum we would have in a church building. Our attitude demonstrates the seriousness of our dedication and purpose. This is not a football game or comedy show. This is meeting with God and His people. We should be honoring God and lifting others to a higher spiritual plain.

Sit with dignity, don't wander around while God's word is being proclaimed, sung or prayer and testimony are being offered. Show your interest and enthusiasm for God and His people. Pay attention, as if your soul depends on it, BECAUSE IT DOES. An Alternative Gathering, (ONLINE or otherwise), is not an informal get together or pajama party. It is entering a public celebration of the King of the universe.

Don't expect Divine intervention and declaration if you come halfheartedly. We need God and we need to come together as believers, and right now this is the way we do it. Give it your best effort.

Here are some guidelines for my online, interactive ministry.
These guidelines help eliminate unnecessary distractions from the sacred purpose of our meeting.
* Treat online like you should treat actual presence ministry.
* No pets or other animals, including dogs and cats.
* Appropriate attire and posture.
* Find comfortable seat and sit respectfully and attentively.
* When you share, be sure to be loud enough for others to hear.
* Remember, you are ministering to all who are participating and you are setting the standard for future online meetings, if we continue to have them.
* If you eat or drink, other than water, do it off video.
Share your thoughts, observation and questions with me. I want this to be enjoyable and profitable for everyone.
I will continue to work on my part. Thank you for recognizing the importance of this endeavor.
