We can add a long list of other Bible characters. Though our lives are made up of many choices, some of them are of greater import and extent than others. But even the seemingly small choices can lead to major impact and long lasting results, sometimes eternal results.
We should easily remember some of the choices made by these other Bible characters, which resulted in major consequences.
Jacob
Esau
Joseph OT
Miriam
Moses
Caleb
Joshua
Rahab
Samson
Ruth
Samuel
Saul
David
Solomon
Esther
Joseph NT
Herod
Magi
Judas
Peter
Saul (Paul)
Think about these people, the choices they made, the consequences they faced.
Think about your own choices and the consequences you have faced.
Think about the most important choices you face now. Will you yield to God? You can go on in the same direction or you can make a deliberate choice to surrender to God and follow Him fully from this point on.
Bad choices usually take the easy, self satisfying direction, and they have bad results.
Good choices require surrender and trust in God, self denial, self control, discipline, focus, courage, continued commitment.
