11/07/20 BE VERY CAREFUL HERE

I DON'T KNOW, I CAN'T UNDERSTAND, I WON'T JUDGE
(I am not waffling or schmoozing and I know this will not win me friends).

I am not a one issue person, though there are several issues that would keep me from VOTING for a person. I also do not withhold my vote because a person is not a Christian, but that is another story. The Dems have a long (dirty) laundry list of issues that would keep me from voting for them.

I don't know or understand how or why a Christian would vote for the platform of the Dems. I COULDN'T. But still, I WON'T JUDGE THAT PERSON to be unsaved. I know people who do and say a lot of things that I know are opposed to Biblical truth (in fact, probably many of you) but I don't "unChristianize" them. I question their wisdom and doctrine and disagree with their view and action but I believe people can be in error and be deceived (even in super important areas), but still be saved. They may make choices that actually damage themselves, family, friends and even our country, but it could be based on their "head" rather than their heart. I feel sorry for them but I love them.

I do not excuse sin (as many of you know) and I am not afraid to state my beliefs and I will argue my point of view, but I understand man's frailty and susceptibility to error, and failure and deception (even in area's that are crystal clear to me). I am not talking about doctrinal areas, which are essential to salvation, neither am I talking about a person who holds to a position because of pride or some other evil disposition; that person is not a Christian. But that is not what I am addressing here.

Let me close (though I doubt I have impressed anyone), by saying that anyone can make a choice, do a deed, say a word, which is wrong, obviously wrong, destructively wrong, while being in a state of grace. It happens all the time. Some may call it sin or deny that person's claim to grace (but again, that is another story).

NO, I don't know how or understand why any Christian would vote for such an obviously evil platform as the Dems (though I do have some ideas), but I don't have to understand everything in order to love them. I can believe that such folks are totally wrong in their understanding but still love them. After all, we are expected to love even those who are deliberately opposing ourselves, themselves and God. I am not saying that we should endorse or excuse sin. MAY IT NEVER BE.

I hate their error, their choices of evil, but I love them. Love your enemies and others, whether they are in known sin or being held by the darkness of deception. Be careful not to throw someone out of the family, even if their understanding is greatly flawed.
