SERIES OF 16 AREAS OF PERFECTION IN NEW TESTAMENT
INTRODUCTION
The Bible clearly reveals that the Christian is called to a Perfection provided, commanded, enabled by God. I hope to post 16 Areas of Perfection found in the New Testament over these next 16 days. I encourage you to read and study my article concerning Biblical Perfection, since it is actually Biblical quotes concerning this subject rather than human teaching.
Here is my introduction to the next 16 Days of Biblical Perfection (with STRONG'S numbers).
Believer’s Perfection Is New Testament Truth
I will quote a few verses to introduce this subject and then I will give more than a dozen Biblical sub-topics addressing Christian perfection. Remember, this is an overview. The Bible says much, much more about this subject than does this little article.
a) 2 Corinthians 13:11
11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect (2675), be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
b) Colossians 1:28-29
28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect (5046) in Christ Jesus:
29 Whereunto I also labor, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.
c) Colossians 4:12
12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always laboring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect (5046) and complete in all the will of God.
d) Hebrews 13:20-21
20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
21 Make you perfect (2675) in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
e) 1 Peter 5:10
10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect (2675), establish, strengthen, settle you.
