09/27/20 BEWARE MODERN, "THUS SAITH THE LORD."

False prophets claim God gave them a new prophecy e.g. "THUS SAITH THE LORD," or a new REVELATION concerning God's written word.

BE AWARE, BE BIBLICAL
NO NEW REVELATION
God does not "gift" people with the call and ability to proclaim His word or revelation verbatim or inerrantly, unless we are quoting God's written word in the context of God's revelation.
God does not add anything to His written word today.
God does not "channel" (prophecy e.g. "thus saith the Lord) through human beings.

We can quote Scripture and we can apply Scripture to current affairs, but we cannot hijack God's word or claim that God speaks verbally through us, even when we wrap it in Scripture.

BEWARE ANGELS OF LIGHT AND ANOTHER SPIRIT
If we think we are being moved in the same way that Bible writers were moved upon by the Holy Spirit, then we have been deceived by an "angel of light" and we have followed "another spirit." 

2 Corinthians 11:13-15
13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. 

2 Corinthians 11:3-4
3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

TRY THE SPIRITS
Try the spirits, to see if they be of God.
1 John 4:1
1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Any such modern so-called "prophesying" is blatant deception and any shallow Christian should be able to discern the misrepresentation.
