09/25/20 TWO KINDS OF CONFESSION

Christian confession includes:
1- Confessing sins (guilt) to God,
2- Confessing our faith (trust & belief) in Christ to others.

PASSAGES CONCERNING CONFESSION OF SINS...
(confessing sins to God and sometimes to others).

Psalms 32:5
5 I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

Proverbs 28:13
13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

James 5:16
16 Confess your faults (sins) one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

1 John 1:9
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

8 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:
9 But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.

Romans 10:9-10
